A Cozy Mystery?

Volume 2 webWhat is a cozy mystery? A cozy is meant to be a series of stories that focuses on the main characters as they solve the case. This type of mystery is supposed to be G-rated and the main character is usually an intelligent woman. As she investigates the mystery, you become part of her life and get to know her personally. If the main character is interesting and lovable, then it will easily have a following.

This website has two series of mysteries. The Amelia Moore Mysteries is not a “who-done-it” mystery. Amelia Moore, the founder of the Moore Detective Agency, specializes in missing persons. Her cases have taken her to some very interesting places and put her in some dangerous situations, but she always solves the case. With the help of Rick Bonito, her agency is flourishing.

DesertWebThe Adventures of John and Julia Evans is a mystery series full of adventure. Julia is a reporter for a daily newspaper and her husband John is a professional knife maker. Because of her curiosity, Julia gets herself into a bunch of trouble. Before long, she finds herself and her husband up to their necks in danger and running for their lives. The Evans also have three college age daughters, which add a little spice to their life. In this series, you learn about artifact theft, the Mayan ruins, Montezuma’s treasure, and Superstition Mountain.
